When preparing your profile pictures for your profile, it's important to keep them simple, yet professional. We recommend including a couple of photos for your profile – one full body shot and one head shot. Both photos should be good-quality and well-lit, with minimal distractions in the background. It's important to look natural and approachable in your photos, as they will be your first impression to potential clients or casting directors. Avoid heavy editing or filters that alter your appearance, as authenticity is key. Remember that your profile pictures are a representation of yourself as a professional, so dressing appropriately for your industry is crucial.

Make sure your demo reel is in a commonly accepted video format, such as MP4 or MOV, and is of high quality to best represent your skills as an actor or actress. Keep your reel under 2 minutes. Once received, our team will review your demo reel and approve it before uploading it to your profile. Remember to keep your demo reel updated with your latest work to maximize your visibility and opportunities.

To add special skills to your profile on Global Casting, log in to your account and navigate to the "Edit" tab on your profile. Here, you can add a variety of special skills that showcase your unique talents and abilities. Make sure to include details about any relevant training, certifications, or experience you have in these skills. This will help casting directors and clients identify you as a suitable candidate for specific projects that require your unique talents. Remember to keep your profile updated with any new skills or certifications you acquire to present the most accurate and comprehensive representation of yourself to potential casting opportunities.

If you are having trouble editing your profile using a mobile device, please login to your account using a laptop or desktop.

When applying for a job posting, it’s very important to carefully follow the submission instructions listed in the posting.

1. Read the Posting Fully

Each job posting includes specific instructions—such as uploading photos, resumes, or other documents. Only applications that follow these directions will be considered.

2. Upload Required Files

• If the posting asks for a recent photo, upload your own photo.

• If you’re submitting photos of family, friends, pets, or other items, clearly state what you’re submitting.

• If the posting asks for multiple images or documents (such as a resume), upload everything requested.

3. Use the Contact/Apply Link

At the bottom of every posting, you will see a line that says:

“If you are interested, please contact [Casting Dept./Other Link].”

This is a hyperlink. Click on it to be directed to the correct contact person or department for that opportunity. Please see example of image below.

4. If There’s No Link

If a job posting does not have a hyperlink at the bottom, it usually means the job has already been closed. These postings may still remain visible for reference by the casting team or others involved in the project, but they are not open for new submissions.

5. Submit Exactly as Directed

If instructions are not followed, your application may not be reviewed or forwarded for consideration.

After you submit to a casting posted by your agent, your information and audition materials will be carefully reviewed by the casting directors and production team. If you are selected, you will be contacted with further details such as the audition location, time, and any specific requirements. If you are not selected, you may be notified. However, please keep in mind that due to the high volume of submissions casting professionals receive, they may not be able to respond to every applicant individually.

Why haven't I been selected for a casting?

There are many factors that can influence the casting process, and not being selected for a role does not necessarily reflect your talent or potential. Casting professionals consider a variety of elements when making casting decisions, including the specific requirements of the project, the vision of the director, and the overall chemistry and dynamics of the cast. It's important to keep in mind that casting decisions are multifaceted and often involve considerations beyond individual performance. We encourage you to continue honing your skills, building your portfolio, and seeking opportunities to showcase your talents. You can also stay updated with our upcoming casting calls and auditions to increase your chances of finding the perfect role for you. Remember that perseverance and dedication are key qualities in the entertainment industry.

We recommend, although not required, you send your letter by registered mail for confirmation of delivery and receipt. You may call or email to confirm your letter has been received and your account is closed.
